If the United States is going to establish a new and viable political party to support its labor-force and the work-force, the nation needs to first address the racial inequality within America!
Yes, there has been some progress in racial equality, but this nation still has a long way to go, if there is going to be equality for all! Equal opportunity for all will not only strengthen the economy of the nation, but will provide economic stability to the people. Addressing the racial issue will not only heal the wounds of the past, but it will help us develop comprehensive solutions to close the gap in income wealth in the future.
We the people need to put our differences and preferences aside to find a common solution that eludes us as a nation. We need to develop a comprehensive plan to put all Americans back to work and give ourselves the economic might, we once enjoyed to compete with our global trading partners around the world. It is a given that some people will have the ability to lead and most people will follow in this nation, but developing and creating leaders cannot be done along racial lines.
Providing decent jobs for all will provide stability and viability for our communities to flourish with better schools for our children. Better schools for all of our children will keep the country competitive with the world for the foreseeable future. But, we need to invest in all of the nation’s educational system across the board, across racial lines and across geographical lines to ensure and spur open competition. The United States will spur the next greatest invention, as it may come from an unlikely source in our country, a community that once lacked resources.
The fact that most of this nation’s global competitors allow open competition among the people of their perspective countries that allows these nations flourish under this form of system. The United States has reached a point within the World Trade Organization, whereas, this nation can no longer afford to allow US companies to export jobs to other nations that exploit their own labor. It is in the strategic and economic interests of the United States to maintain a competitive, skilled and trained workforce.
The developing nations that conduct trade with the United States may in fact exploit their labor, but, what they also do is allow open competition and upward mobility of their peoples. Allowing open competition among the people in most industrialized nations or developing nations allows these nations to discover new talents from unlikely sources, the underclass and the poor. We must work together to ensure all in our nation can compete economically with the rest of the world.
A well trained and skilled workforce within the United States will allow this nation to maintain companies that require a labor-force that can develop, build and sell products around the world that other nation’s cannot develop and build, due to gaps in their training and technology. If a quality product can be developed, built and sold here in the United States, other countries will demand it for their nations.
The greatest of minds do not necessarily come from the upper-classes, but most of a nation’s greatest minds do come from the masses!

It was the intentions of the Founding Fathers to make the federal government an arbiter between the states, capitalist and labor. The federal government was established to protect the citizenry first and foremost, above all else. The citizens that are sent to serve in the United States Congress are elected by the people. These elected Members of Congress are sent to Washington, DC to protect and serve the interest of the people.
We the people of the New Labor Party are the people who develop, work, build, teach, discover, protect (at home and abroad) and provide services for the United States of America. We are also the ones, who labor for and pay more than our fare share of taxes that provide tax breaks to benefit the rich upper class and corporations. The Labor Party believes that as long as all individuals and corporations pay their fair share of taxes, we as a nation can reduce the tax burden that plagues all of us!
The Labor Party is not anti-business, but wants to work with business, so as labor is not exploited, but justly compensated for an honest day’s work. The Labor Party believes that business can make a profit, but it should not deny its labor force adequate compensation in the form of salary or hourly wages, health and retirement benefits. If business fails to provide labor with the ability to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, the Labor Party will support and elect candidates, who will enact and enforce laws to protect the workforce through Congressional Acts.
The Labor Party’s plan is to develop a political platform that will benefit all Americans, as well as corporate America. It will not be an easy task, but if all of us are going to survive we need to work together. The importance of another party is to develop a system of government that not only consists of Democrats and Republicans, but to develop a Labor Party to strengthen the democratic principles, whereas our choices are not limited within a two party system.
Every two years, as Members of Congress are elected and with the possibility of Congress changes hands, progress and programs are stifled, as the two parties are polarized for the next two years, until the upcoming General and Primary Elections. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party have failed to keep what is in the best interests of all the American People.
The Labor Party will work with the Democratic Party and/or the Republican Party within the Halls of Congress to push through legislation that supports the American labor force. The Labor Party wants the United States to remain competitive in a world economy. The Labor Party will ensure the American citizenry is justly compensated and protected under the laws put forth by their elected Members of Congress. The Labor Party recognizes and supports the principles of the Constitution of the United States.
The American people are emboldened with the task of holding their families together, as the nation faces economic disparities. The average worker faces many challenges, as competition and outsourcing are taking place around the world. Along with the constant threat of losing our jobs, the American people are forced to do more with less, which threatens to bring instability to provide a future for our families!
In every election cycle a majority of the nation’s eligible voters go to the polls to vote for their candidates to hold elected office. We are at a point whereas it seems these political candidates no longer have the voter’s best interests at heart. The candidates running for elected office stand for what are “wedge issues.”
These “wedge issues” are the issues that divide us as a nation. Wedge issues are issues politicians use in their agenda to cater to a particular voting block to prevent all voters from voting for their own economic interests. In doing so elected officials pursue their own agenda! Political candidates use these wedge issues to satisfy their corporate donations. As a result of voting on wedge issues, voters lose their jobs, health benefits, their retirement packages and their job security.
The Labor Party is and will be the party of labor. The Labor Party will focus on the prosperity and the growth of the nation, as a whole! The Labor Party will offer solutions to the problems the nation faces and needs to address. As long as wedge issues are the focus in an election cycle, our elected officials on the local, state and national level of government will conduct business as usual.
The Labor Party will focus only on the rights of the people to secure their economic interests. The Labor Party’s focus will be on the following issues:
1. Employment – everyone will be guaranteed a job
2. Decent Living Wages – pay based on geographical, demographical and cost of living
3. Healthcare – uniform healthcare for all passed by a Congressional Act
4. Vacation – Full Time and Part Time Employees– time off based on length of employment
5. Retirement – 65 years old – guaranteed pension
6. Pension (s) – 20 years of service at one company – multiple pensions if other companies
7. Employment Training and Retraining – all employees receive proper training
8. Workers Compensation – in the event of a slowdown, shutdown or downsizing
9. Death Benefits – Funeral expenses – Survivor pension benefits
How will the nation address and achieve these objectives?
Keep America Working
It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to create jobs for the people when business fails to keep the people working. There is much work within the federal, state, county and local governments to keep the US citizenry working. The nation can put people back to work by refurbishing, rebuilding and upgrading all government facilities.
Reduction in unemployment/comprehensive jobs bill.
Congress will work with business to reduce their corporate tax rate to keep jobs in the United States. The US will only give tax breaks to the corporations that are willing to train and maintain a strong US workforce.
Keep America Educated
It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to keep the American people educated. It is the responsibility of elected officials to reduce the cost for the US citizenry to attend college or learn a trade. The American citizenry has the responsibility to maintain an adequate level of educational or trade skills necessary to keep the US competitive with the world. The nation can put people back to work by refurbishing, rebuilding and upgrading all educational facilities.
Skill specific programs/Affordable education/Retraining programs.
Keep America Competitive
It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to keep the United States competitive. Members of Congress shall secure the necessary funding for businesses, states and local governments to produce products that are superior and can be competitive in the international markets. The US will ensure a stable workforce to reduce the tax burden on the population.
Open competition/High-tech training/no need to import skilled labor.
Keep America Innovative and Cutting Edge
It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to secure the necessary funding to keep the United States innovative and on the cutting edge. Members of Congress shall secure the necessary funding for research institutions to discover and develop new products to benefit the US economy, for sale on the world market and are safe for consumption. The nation can put people back to work by refurbishing, rebuilding and upgrading all electrical, phone, internet lines and facilities.
It is the responsibility of elected officials to give the US citizenry the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Develop new technologies/constantly upgrade pre-existing technologies.
Keep America Skilled and Well Trained
It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to secure the necessary funding to keep the American people highly skilled and well trained. As some technologies become obsolete, it is the duty of Congress to secure the necessary funding to re-train the US workforce in other fields that are either in demand or will experience growth in the future.
Retrain while maintaining unemployment benefits.

It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to keep the United States safe and ready.
Members of Congress will secure the necessary funding to protect all members of the military and civilian forces first and foremost. It is the responsibility of all citizens to defend the borders and to protect life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The nation can put people back to work by refurbishing, rebuilding and upgrading all parks, landmarks, waterways and seaports.

As the economy is vital to the economic stability of the nation, Members of Congress will fund any and all necessary programs to keep jobs in America to protect and preserve our domestic economic interests. Funding will start with repairing and upgrading the nation’s infrastructure. The nation’s transportation industry is a top priority for repairs and upgrades. The nation also needs a makeover. Funding will be provided to clean up the nation’s parks, waterways, roads, cities and towns.

It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to understand they work to serve the interest of the US citizenry. We, the US Citizenry, need to hold elected officials accountable to our issues and needs. The people, who seek office, do so in the interest of the people and not a particular interest group. The US citizenry has the right to recall any elected officials, who does not perform his or her duties in the interest of the people.

Keep the United States Energy Independent
It is the responsibility of Members of Congress to keep the United States energy independent. Members of Congress will provide the necessary funding by starting with the federal government to reduce all federal agencies energy costs. The federal government will reduce the tax payers cost of running the government by funding new and alternative energy technologies, such as solar, thermal and wind-power.
The new technologies will reduce the cost of running the government. All energy or budget surpluses will be returned to the citizenry in the form of a reduction in taxes. This program will start with reducing the energy footprint of all federal, state and local agency buildings.

The Labor Party is a new political party of, by and for working people. It was developed by Curtis Rose for the working people of the United States, along with the development to unionize a national and an international labor force.

Why do we need a Labor Party?
We need a Labor Party to give working people a political voice to counter the unlimited amounts of campaign funding coming from corporations to Democrats and Republicans.

Affiliates help build a strong base for the Labor Party and to provide the necessary resources to conduct our day-to-day operations.
Affiliation is also the first step in gaining representation on the national and international level to advance and strengthen the labor laws for the Labor Party.
What unions support the Labor Party?
The purpose of the Labor Party is to work with all current unions to unite these unions on a national and international level of labor security.
Over two million workers are represented by international unions — including the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical & Energy Workers, the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees, the American Federation of Government Employees and the United Mine Workers of America — and thousands of local unions that have endorsed the Labor Party.
Who runs the Labor Party?
The Labor Party will run by Elected Labor Officials, who will be term limited. These labor officials will be elected by all union members affiliated with the Labor Party.
The Labor Party will consist of a governing body within the Labor Party that has final authority in all matters of national policy, program and constitution.
The governing body of the Labor Party has full authority to issue policy statements in the name of the Labor Party.
The governing body of the Labor Party is made up of representatives of the major affiliating unions and worker-supportive organizations.
The Labor Party will have chapter representatives made up of individuals who represent constituencies not otherwise adequately represented within the Labor Party.
The governing body directs all Labor Party's activities on a day-to-day basis.

Labor Representatives:
Since corporations have law firms that represent them in negotiating “collective bargaining agreements,” the United States Labor Union will have its own law firm representing the United States Workforce.
The role of the US labor Law Firm will be to help draft legislation to increase employment opportunities, to increase job security and to ensure the “collective bargaining agreement” is within the law and is in the best interest of the workforce.
The Right to Work:
As citizens of the United States, we live under a one person, one vote rule. We shall elect other members of our society to serve as our elected officials and put them in charge of our affairs.
It will be the responsibility of the elected officials to provide a service that benefits their constituency.
Who will Labor Represent?
The United States Labor Union will represent the entire United States Workforce. All unions that exist now can keep their affiliations, but all unions will work with and in conjunction with The United States Labor Union.
Why will Labor have Lobbyist?
The Labor Representatives will be responsible for lobbying Congress to draft legislation that will enforce and protect current wage earners in the United States. The Labor Representatives will also monitor Members of Congress, who represent Labor to ensure the workforce laws are protected and guaranteed under the US Constitution.
Why will Labor have Arbiters?
The role of the arbiters will be to ensure the “collective bargaining agreement” doctrine is used on behalf of the United States Labor Union. The role of the unions will be to ensure the workforce maintains a technological edge to remain competitive.
The union will also be responsible to ensure that union members honor and obey the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
New standards of trade – uniform standards for worldwide trade agreements.
All Congressional Bills passed by Congress that hinder labor unions progress shall be repealed by new labor laws protecting labor unions and worker’s rights. We also must dedicate ourselves to fighting for a complete overhaul of this country's labor laws. We must win repeal of the anti-worker amendments, which sharply tilted the labor law in favor of employers.
Regulate trade – use of tariffs and trade sanctions on nations, who violate trade agreements.
The Labor Party calls for establishing the strongest national and international labor and environmental standards to improve conditions for low-wage workers and to prevent national workers from a scale-down in pay. Free trade is about conducting trade that is fair to both parties involved. We favor free and open trade, but only if the rights of all workers, both national and international are strongly protected.
Protect workers - suitable protection from hostile work environments – protection from exploitation of workers.
Protection for workers in horrid conditions and have no legal rights to seek redress. We call for worker inspection teams to regulate and police these standards. Teams of worker representatives from different nations could regularly visit export-oriented facilities around the world to determine whether minimum standards are being met. We support for strong national standards for labor rights and the environment so that corporations can no longer force states and cities into a brutal competition for jobs at any cost.
Protect the environment – dispose of byproducts and waste in a safe and proper manner without harm to the environment – use of abandoned mines may be an alternative.
We insist that workers themselves be able to enforce these sanctions, relying on traditional rights to refuse to handle unsafe products. We believe this country and the world need to protect the environment without making working people take the brunt of the pain: we need a "just transition movement" to protect both jobs and the environment.
Protect corporate profits, but not at the expense of the workers.
We demand a law requiring employers who purchase or merge with other companies to honor all existing collective bargaining agreements and contracts.
Regulate pay disparities between national/international workers.
The Labor Party will actively promote a strategy of international solidarity and cooperation with labor movements and labor parties in other nations through the exchange of information, worker organizing, collective bargaining, and other actions and strategies that demonstrate our commitment to work together to confront the global attacks on our environment and living and working conditions.
The Labor Party stands independent of the corporations and their political representatives in the Democratic and Republican parties. Our overall strategy of the Labor Party is for the majority of American people — working class people — to take political power.
Although we accept electoral politics as an important tactic, we do not see it as the only tool needed to achieve working class power. Unlike other political parties, the Labor Party will be active before, during and between elections, building solidarity in our communities, workplaces and unions.
Labor Party candidates will run only where our basic organizational criteria are met. The Labor Party will build into its electoral campaigns procedures to ensure political education and mobilization of the working class.
The further development of the Labor Party structure is to increase party membership and to strengthen relationships to community and labor allies. The Labor Party will support only candidates for office who are Labor Party members running solely as Labor Party candidates.
The Labor Party adopts an electoral strategy which calls for running candidates for positions where they can help enact and enforce laws and policies to benefit the working class and where we can best advance the goals and priorities of the Labor Party.
The Labor Party calls for restoring the public sector of our economy. The Labor Party stands firmly opposed to the privatization and contracting out of public services presently performed. A government that works for the people should provide critical goods and services that cannot, and should not, be run for profit.
The Labor Party opposes all forms of welfare for corporations. Decades of concessions to corporations by both political parties have not produced the full employment economy we have been guaranteed by the US Constitution of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The Labor Party will get government to work for us, not for the corporations. We support a total end to corporate tax breaks and subsidies. We want to end corporate abuse of trade and corporate welfare, we want corporations to pay their fair share of taxes, and we want to end corporate domination of the elections.
The Labor Party wants to stop the tax concession competition among states and communities, all corporations should pay a standard community investment tax wherever they go. The Labor Party calls for an end to the tax war between the states. State governments dole out billions in "incentives" to lure business from other states or to keep the business that is already there from going elsewhere.
The need to come together to create this Labor Party is to defend our interests and aspirations from the interests of multinational corporations.
The Labor Party US is an American moderate liberal political party advocating the rights’ of workers to earn a decent wage. Membership will grow with the merging of unions, the recruitment of workers and the creation of new unions with workers, who are willing to earn a decent living wage!
There will be no dispute over the Party's running of candidates! The Labor Party is opposed to running candidates that might cause the defeat of their normal Democratic allies. However, any Democrats that do not support the Labor Party, their congressional seat will be challenged by a qualified Labor Party Candidate.
All Republicans, who traditionally do not support labor unions, their congressional seats will be challenged by qualified Labor Party Candidates.
The Labor Party understands that the struggle for a decent living wage pits citizens against the corporate elite, who fight hard to retain their powers and privileges.
The Labor Party wants financial cap on what any candidate can spend on elections. Full and equal public financing and media time for all candidates who have proven popular support, rather than just access to big contributors.
The Labor Party believes that enacting such a system would encourage Americans from all walks of life, regardless of their economic means, to seek public office and save taxpayers billions of dollars of corporate welfare heaped on the rich and powerful donators.
The Labor Party will run candidates for public office in order to elect representatives to positions where they can help enact and enforce laws and policies to benefit the working class. We will run at governmental levels where we can best advance the goals and priorities of the Labor Party and the people the party represents.
Unlike other political parties, public officials elected by the Labor Party will be accountable to the party membership and be required to follow the positions outlined in the party platform.
Once elected, officials are responsible to the party on core issues in the Labor Party platform.
Elected officials who do not abide by the LP platform will not be allowed to run for re-election as LP candidates.
All Labor Party Candidates elected to political office will pledge to only serve no more than two consecutive terms in political office. This will ensure that the Labor Party does not have elected officials getting comfortable in Washington, DC.
The Labor Party will be constructed to endorse candidates as serving the political terms in office as it exist now of serving two year terms, four years terms and six years terms.
The Labor Party is national in scope and will include all national, state, county, city, district, precinct, parish, ward and/or any other equivalent structures. Unlike other political parties, public officials elected by the Labor Party will be accountable to the party membership and required to follow the positions outlined in the party platform.
The Labor Party also includes state parties, chapters and local organizing committees which organize members and promote the activities and policies of the Labor Party in its jurisdiction, and elect delegates to the Labor Party.
The system is to be designed to ensure that Labor Party candidates can run credible campaigns to win labor positions. A national committee of the Labor Party will review all applications for Labor Party electoral campaigns.
The National Committee will be made up of representatives of the major affiliating unions and worker-supportive organizations, Labor Party chapter representatives and individuals who represent constituencies not otherwise adequately represented.
Labor Party Candidates will run based on the major state affiliated unions, local unions and national unions. Unions will have representatives based local, state and national levels. The Labor Party will elect a national leader to work in conjunction with the Persident of the United States.
In reviewing each application, the committee will use the criteria to assess whether a credible campaign can be run. The Labor Party pledge is to not endorse candidates of any other party.
Individual membership shall be open to anyone who agrees to abide by the Constitution of the Labor Party. Each state party organization shall establish its own by-laws, which shall establish the number of officers and their duties.
Organizational membership shall be open to International Unions, locals, districts, lodges or any other designation rendered by an International Union; state federation and central labor bodies; and other organizations deemed worker-supportive by the National Council of the Labor Party.
Such unions and organizations shall, by an official act, accept and abide by the Constitution and principles of the Labor Party. The definition of a union shall include any group that carries on collective bargaining, workplace representational activity or concerted activity.
All elections shall be conducted under rules consistent with those last published by the National Council governing the selection of convention delegates. Only members of working age shall be eligible to vote.
The Labor Party will be constructed to endorse candidates as serving the political terms in office as it exist now of serving two year terms, four years terms and six years terms.
All elected Members of Congress and elected Union Officials shall serve no more than two-terms in each elected officeholder position.
In order to receive a pension other than a retirement pension, all elected officials, Congress or Union shall receive a secondary pension for services to the community.
All elected officials, Congress or Union must dedicate at least 20 years of community service to receive a secondary pension.
All 401Ks shall be granted to all employees at any given company of employment.
All % of 401Ks shall be paid to each employee equally all companies of employment.
Shares are to be offered to all union employees, as well as management at all companies of employment.
Severance packages are to be offered to all employees, whose services are no longer requires at all companies of employment.

Thelaborparty.us believes one of the founding principles of the federal government was to be an arbiter between capitalist and labor. Labor unions were created and developed to protect labor’s interests with business.
Congress has enacted an extensive array of labor laws and regulations to protect workers in the labor market and the workplace. From the National Labor Relations Act and Social Security Act of 1935 to the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and the Family Medical Leave Act of 1993, labor unions have been instrumental in securing labor legislation and standards. However, beyond their role in initiating and advocating enactment of these laws and regulations, unions have also played an important role in enforcing workplace regulations.
Unions have played a prominent role in the enactment of a broad range of labor laws and regulations covering areas as diverse as overtime pay, minimum wage, the treatment of immigrant workers, health and retirement coverage, civil rights, unemployment insurance and workers’ compensation, and leave for care of newborns and sick family members. Unions also set pay standards and practices that raise the wages of non-unionized workers in occupations and industries where there is a strong union presence. Collective bargaining fuels innovations in wages, benefits, and work practices that affect both unionized and non-unionized workers.
Labor Unions play a pivotal role both in securing legislated labor protections and rights such as safety and health, overtime, and family/medical leave and in enforcing those rights on the job. Because unionized workers are more informed, they are more likely to benefit from social insurance programs such as unemployment insurance and workers compensation. Unions are thus an intermediary institution that provides a necessary complement to legislated benefits and protections.
While the National Labor Relations Board continues to issue decisions that greatly benefit unions, opponents have pushed on the federal and local level to challenge union power. Right-to-work advocates want laws that prevent mandatory union membership as a condition of employment. The policy has been passed in 24 states.
These important rights and protections continue to be undermined and weakened by the corporate elite, and we need to do more to ensure that unions are here to stay. The best way to protect our right to organize is to use unions, and ensure that unions – and all the important rights that they fight for – are still around for the workers of the future.
Slow wage growth has squeezed the middle class and contributed to rising inequality. By increasing union coverage rates could likely reverse these trends as more Americans would benefit from the union wage premium and receive higher wages. Non-union workers would also benefit as employers would likely raise wages to match what unions would win in order to avoid unionization.
The American middle class is essential for economic growth because middle income families are spending relatively large shares of their incomes on goods and services. While the middle class is the most important cohort in terms of spending and has in the past been essential for economic growth, middle income families have been the victims of wage stagnation.
Unions reduce wage inequalities because they raise wages more at the bottom and in the middle of the wage scale than at the top. Lower-wage, middle-wage, blue-collar, and high school educated workers are also more likely than high-wage, white-collar, and college-educated workers to be represented by unions.
The main goal of the union is to raise wages through collective bargaining agreements. How much unions can raise wages, for whom, and the consequences of unionization for workers, firms, and the economy will depend on the strength of the unions in the future.
The research evidence clearly shows that labor protections enjoyed by the entire U.S. workforce can be attributed in large part to unions. The workplace laws and regulations, which unions helped to pass, constitute the majority of the labor and industrial relations policies of the United States.
The union impact on benefits is even more critical to the lives of workers now than in the past. Moreover, unionized workers are provided better paid leave and better health and pension plans. Unions improve benefits for non-unionized workers because workers are more likely to be provided particular benefits and because the specific benefits received provide economic stability.
The Labor Party provides a platform on how the nation can address and achieve the objectives through a strong union presence to elect and support political candidates to pass legislation in the halls of Congress. The American Jobs Act and The Employee Free Choice Act are key pieces of legislation in conjunction with strong labor unions to ensure the growth and protection of middle class families, as well raising wages for workers that reside at the bottom of the wage scale.
The Labor Party will focus only on the rights of the people to secure their economic interests. The Labor Party’s focus will be on the following issues:
1. Employment – everyone will be guaranteed a job
2. Decent Living Wages – pay based on geographical, demographical and cost of living
3. Healthcare – uniform healthcare for all passed by a Congressional Act
4. Vacation – Full Time and Part Time Employees– time off based on length of employment
5. Retirement – 65 years old – guaranteed pension
6. Pension (s) – 20 years of service at one company – multiple pensions if other companies
7. Employment Training and Retraining – all employees receive proper (re)training
8. Workers Compensation – in the event of a slowdown, shutdown or downsizing
9. Death Benefits – Funeral expenses – Survivor pension benefits
Thelaborparty.us supports candidates for United States Congress (House and Senate) that will sponsor and/or support a bill to grant all US citizens access to the same healthcare as the Members of Congress.
Members of Congress shall make no healthcare laws that only apply to themselves, but as the representatives of all the US citizenry. It will be the responsibility of Congress to negotiate on behalf of the people as an Amendment to the Affordable Care Act.
Congress shall make sure all the people enjoy equal access to healthcare whether private or public coverage provided under the Affordable Care Act.
Congress shall negotiate on behalf of the citizenry all prescription drugs. By Congress negotiating the price of prescription drugs, we can prevent pharmaceutical companies from donating to political campaigns.
Congress shall purchase on behalf of the citizenry all prescription drugs. Buying prescription drugs in bulk will be a huge cost savings to the government, as well as the citizenry.
Congress shall fund all prescription drugs purchased and sold in the United States. By Congress funding prescription drugs, setting rates will lower the overall cost of prescription drugs.
Congress shall set co-pay rates as they set co-pay rates for themselves (no co-pays, but a tax?). If a co-pay is a tax, Congress can make it tax deductible.
Congress shall set an annual budget for prescription drugs. Setting an annual prescription drug budget can keep spending under control or force pharmaceutical companies to keep cost to a minimum.
Prescription drugs shall not be advertised to the consumer. It is the duty of Congress to ensure the prescription drugs they purchase are safe for consumer consumption.
Congress shall appoint/designate oversight management of public hospitals. Congress can make the management of hospitals a cabinet position or integrate it into a current cabinet position.
Congress shall fund all public hospitals (rural & urban). All hospitals can be equipped with the latest technologies and shall be fully staffed.
It is the responsibility of Congress to control the spending of public hospitals. By Congress setting standards for all hospitals, spending can be set at a maximum for efficiency.
Congress shall set an annual budget for all public hospitals. Setting annual budgets can force Congress to better negotiate the expansion or building of new hospitals.
Congress shall set rates for doctor visits as they would set those rates for themselves. A co-pay rate can be set as a way to reduce cost per visit.
Rates shall be set per operation and/or surgery funded by Congress. Standard rates for operations and/or surgeries can control spending and co-pays.
All emergency care is to be funded by Congress. Due to unforeseen circumstances in an emergency no one shall be turned away for emergency care.
Congress shall fund all new technologies to reduce healthcare costs and increase life expectancy. It is the duty of Congress to ensure the tranquility of the citizenry.
Congress shall fund all research in prescription drugs to prevent negative side effects. It is the duty of Congress to ensure the prescription drugs they purchase are regulated and safe for consumer consumption.
Congress shall fund all research into natural herbs or alternative medicines to reduce health care costs. It is the duty of Congress to explore all options, such as alternative medicines and /or natural herbs for medicinal purposes.
Congress may create incentives for healthy living? It is the duty of Congress to offer the citizenry alternative standards of healthy living.
Congress shall not create rates for unhealthy living of the citizenry, due to de-regulations in higher health standards. It will be the responsibility of Congress to set the standards for quality of life.
Congress shall put in place higher regulations on products sold to the citizenry deemed unhealthy by the Food and Drug Administration.
The Food and Drug administration shall bear the responsibility of placing higher standards for healthy products being produced by the pharmaceutical companies and the food industry.
Congress shall put in place higher regulations on products sold to the citizenry deemed unhealthy by the Food and Drug Administration that is overseen by a bi-partisan commission.
Congress shall create the Citizens Health Benefits Program. Under this plan, the citizenry can purchase a health plan offered under CHBP, receive an employer contribution toward coverage that will carry the coverage into retirement. Upon retirement, what is not covered in this plan, Congress shall make up the difference or work with business to do so.
Many private and public sector firms offer employer sponsored health insurance to their employees and contribute toward the cost of that insurance as part of an employee’s compensation package. Congress shall work with business to increase the number of the citizenry using employer sponsored health insurance.
Tax breaks shall be given to corporations for providing full health care coverage to all employees and retirees.
Tax breaks shall be given to small businesses that provide health care coverage to all employees.
Medicare shall provide full coverage to all retirees not covered by private health care.
Medicaid shall provide full coverage to all citizenry qualified to receive disability benefits.
